Boise comes one degree away from breaking 86-year-old record

BOISE,ID (CBS2) — The warm air moving across the Pacific Northwest is challenging records. Wednesday, the National Weather Service reported that as of 4am, Boise had a low temperature of 50 degrees. A low this warm has not been seen here in over 86 years.

On December 9th, several cities across the region saw temperatures tie with record high temperatures. In Oregon, Burns tied the record high of 54 degrees set in 1975, Ontario tired the record high of 55 set in 2015. In Idaho, Jerome tied the 56-degree record set in 1939, and Twin Falls tied the record set in 2015 of 59 degrees…
