BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Five defendants who were arrested in the Wilder gambling raid in October will not be facing trial on Monday after the court granted a motion continuing the trial until May of next year.
The FBI, ICE, Canyon County Sheriff’s office, and other law enforcement agencies raided a horse racing track in Wilder. The initial target of the FBI-led operation was a man named Ivan Tellez, who allegedly owns the horse track and operated an illegal gambling ring with co-defendants Samual Bejarano Colin, Dayana Fajardo, Cesar Iniguez Orozco, and Alejandro Torres Estrada. FBI agents operating in Idaho received a tip back in February about an alleged illegal gambling ring operating out of Wilder and Emmett.
