The Kuna City Council has given the green light to the Napa Vineyards Subdivision, a major residential development that has been in the planning stages for over 15 years. The council’s decision came after a 2-2 vote was broken by Mayor Joe Stear, allowing developers to proceed with the project.
Originally proposed in 2009, the development aims to transform a 242-acre agricultural area between Columbia Road and Hubbard Road into a mixed-use residential and commercial community. The project will bring nearly 1,500 homes to the site, including 653 single-family homes and up to 842 multi-family units.
Developers NE Kuna Farm LLC and Open Door Rentals LLC have included several community benefits in their plan. These include sites for a future fire station, a public school, a public park, and amenities such as a swimming pool, sports courts, a dog park, and pathway systems.
