West Ada School District revises boundary proposal, reducing number of impacted students

BOISE, Idaho — The West Ada School District released the second revision of its proposed boundary changes, shaped by community feedback.

The district announced in November its consideration of boundary changes for the 2026-2027 school year, following the opening of Independence Elementary School, to ease overcrowding.

West Ada’s first plan, called Blue Proposal, was developed by a parent-led committee, aimed to alleviate overcrowding at elementary schools and accommodate future student growth associated with new development in the area.
