BOISE, Idaho — The Ada County Highway District is set to begin updating posted speed limit signs in Boise’s North End this week as part of a pilot aimed at increasing safety.
ACHD and the City of Boise earlier this month announced the North End Neighborhood Slow Zone Pilot following the death of an 8-year-old girl who was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Ada Street and Harrison Boulevard.
As part of the plan, ACHD is reducing speed limits to 20 mph on 8th Street, 9th Street, 13th Street, 15th Street, 16th Street, Fort Street, Hays Street and Harrison Boulevard. The streets currently have speeds of 25-30 miles per hour…
