BOISE, Idaho — A traffic study centered around one of Boise’s busiest injury corridors is now funded, thanks to a million-dollar grant from the Department of Transportation.
The city announced via news release that it will implement a five-year safety pilot on the section of Fairview Avenue between North Cole Road and North Curtis Road. According to the city, over 350 crashes have occurred on that corridor since 2020.
The Safe Streets and Roads for All program, which includes two grant cycles awarded by the Department of Transportation, was funded through 2026 through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
