Former BYU-Idaho student arrested for alleged video voyeurism while on probation

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A 28-year-old former BYU-Idaho student, Tyler George Morgan, is facing new allegations of video voyeurism, just a year after completing a rider program for similar offenses, according to East Idaho News.

In December 2023, District Judge Steven Boyce sentenced Morgan to two to four years in prison for two counts of felony video voyeurism, but retained jurisdiction, requiring him to complete a one-year rider treatment program. Morgan was also placed on felony probation until September 2027.

Recently, Morgan’s probation officer reported that he allegedly admitted via text message to filming a roommate through a bathroom window on two occasions. This led to his arrest and booking into the Madison County Jail without bond. Magistrate Judge David Hunt ordered Morgan to remain in custody until further notice…
