Boise School District appoints Wendy Johnson as new superintendent

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Boise School District Board of Trustees has appointed Wendy Johnson as the new superintendent, following the retirement of Superintendent Lisa Roberts.

Johnson, currently the Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, will assume her new role on July 1, 2026. “I am deeply grateful to the Board of Trustees for their trust and confidence,” Johnson said. “We have an incredibly strong team of educators and leaders in place, and together we are focused on what matters most—our students.”
