BOISE, Idaho — An Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) worker was run over by a distracted driver on his second day of work, according to a post by the department.
ITD said Marklyn was working his second day as an inspector when a distracted driver drove through a construction zone. ITD said the driver was in an SUV and was distracted by her dog in the back seat.
“In a split second, Marklyn had two choices: jump over the hood or drop flat onto his back,” ITD said in a Facebook post. “He chose the second option.”…
