Angler sets state record with Yellowstone cutthroat trout catch

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Idaho Fish and Game announced a new certified state record for weight after Robert Gregory caught a 19-inch, 3.08-pound Yellowstone cutthroat trout.

“My college buddies and I got up early, went ice fishing at Henry’s Lake with a goal of catching a state record cutthroat trout, if possible,” Robert said.

After a slow start, the group moved to shallower waters and quickly began getting bites. “We started having hits really quickly, and that is when I hooked into my fish,” Robert said…
