CALDWELL, Idaho — The Caldwell community is mourning the loss of Drago, one of the police department’s mounted unit horses.
“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Drago, our Chief of Police, Rex Ingram’s Mounted Horse. Drago was truly one of a kind. If there were a way to replace him six times over, we would—because horses like Drago are simply irreplaceable,” a social media post from the Friends and Supporters of the Caldwell Police Mounted Unit page.
Drago was described as being “steady, calm, gracious, and incredibly kind, especially with children.”…
