Train hits semi-dump truck in dense fog near Parma

BOISE, Idaho — Idaho State Police are investigating a serious injury crash involving a train and a semi-dump truck that occurred Saturday morning near Parma.

The crash happened at about 9:30 a.m. between Apple Valley Road and Noye Lane in Canyon County, police said.

Investigators said a 2015 Peterbilt driven by a 52-year-old man from Nyssa, Oregon, was traveling north on Noye Lane and crossing railroad tracks when it was struck by a Union Pacific locomotive traveling southeast.
