MERIDIAN, Idaho — The City of Meridian is set to break ground on a new community center and a major expansion of Settlers Park later this month.
Meridian Parks and Recreation and the Meridian Fire Department will co-host a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 1:30 p.m. The event will take place at the future building site just west of the Settlers Park ball field complex, off N. Venable Avenue.
The project includes construction of a 26,000-square-foot community center, largely funded through impact fees collected from building permits rather than taxpayer dollars.
