BOISE, Idaho — The City of Boise is teaming up with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game to educate residents in neighborhoods where wild turkey flocks have become a growing nuisance.
The campaign focuses on the North End, where turkey populations have increased and reports of aggressive behavior have raised safety concerns. City officials say the goal is to help residents coexist safely with urban wildlife while discouraging behaviors that attract turkeys.
As part of the effort, the city has launched an online resource outlining steps neighbors can take to reduce turkey activity.
