LOCAL governments could face fines of $2,000 a day under a new proposal that bans certain flags from flying on government poles.
The plan has reignited a fierce fight over the pride flag and what belongs outside City Hall.
House Bill 561 would tighten Idaho’s flag law and punish cities and counties for flying flags not approved by the Legislature, with a $2,000 daily penalty per flag.
