Swimming Climbs After Day 2 Of NWC Championship

BOISE, Idaho – The Whitman College swimming teams used a strong second day at the Northwest Conference Championships to tighten the race in both team standings and individual events Saturday at the Idaho Aquatic Complex.​

Through 24 events, the Whitman men sit in third place with 270.5 points, just behind University of Puget Sound (347.5) and leader Whitworth (594). The Whitman women are locked in a tie for fourth at 263 points with George Fox, with Whitworth (488) and Puget Sound (319) pacing the field.​

Whitman opened the evening with a big relay podium, as the quartet of Adrian Dulong, Elliot Yung, Ian McClelland and Brodie Salzbrener powered the Blues to third in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:33.96.​
