Coroner: Convicted Boise killer Hall died of stroke

An official cause of death has been announced for convicted murderer Erick Hall.

Hall, who was convicted of killing two women in Boise in the early 2000s, died Feb. 9 at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, it was announced earlier this month. It wasn’t until Friday that his official cause of death had been announced — he died of cerebral infarction, also known as an ischemic stroke, the Ada County Coroner’s Office said.

Hall, 54, was sentenced to die by execution for the 2000 killing of 38-year-old Lynn Henneman, and received the same sentence for the 2003 killing of 42-year-old Cheryl Ann Hanlon. Both women were sexually assaulted and strangled…
