Nampa votes down major southeast housing project citing traffic, density concerns

Plans to develop acreage on Nampa’s far southeastern edge will not be moving forward as proposed.

At its February 17 meeting, the Nampa City Council voted against approving the annexation and rezone of Orchard Acres, a 276-acre master planned community. The project would have eventually brought about 1,400 single-family homes, townhomes, and apartments, as well as commercial space to an area north of Locust Ln., between Happy Valley and Robinson roads.
