Trees Idaho launches free giveaway in the Treasure Valley

BOISE, Idaho — Trees Idaho is launching a free tree program in the Treasure Valley.

Qualifying residents in Caldwell, Nampa and portions of Meridian have the opportunity to choose between more than 10 types of trees for their yard this spring. Trees Idaho said the giveaway is part of its initiative to create healthier living.

“We wanted to be a partner in helping cities and residents and neighbors grow healthy trees, because we believe that it provides a healthier quality of life for everybody,” Executive Director Lance Davisson said. “Whether they bear fruit or whether they shade your house in the hot summer months. We feel like it’s a smart investment in a community.”…
