Idaho group seeks clothing donations to help farmworkers during March event

BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Organization of Resource Councils is asking community members to take part in a clothing drive supporting its annual Farmworker Appreciation event this March.

Donations of new or gently used clothing will be accepted through March 25. Items most needed include bandanas or scarves, hats and caps, long‑sleeved shirts, gloves, and work boots or rubber boots. All donated items will be distributed on March 27.

The Idaho Organization of Resource Councils (IORC) describes its mission on its website as “bringing people together to build grassroots power through community organizing, leadership development and civic engagement to promote and protect the health, safety, dignity and justice of frontline and directly impacted communities.”…
