BOISE, Idaho (ABC4) — An explosive detection K-9 with the Idaho State Police named Kimber has retired after she was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Kimber’s cancer was diagnosed in February after she received surgery to remove a cyst. Testing confirmed that it was an aggressive form of cancer, and she reportedly has been given only weeks to live.

Kimber’s handler Trooper Jayce Miller is taking care of her, and he is reportedly monitoring her condition closely and will make decisions in her best interest…
