CALDWELL, Idaho — Nearly two years after a failed experiment with paid parking meters, the city of Caldwell is preparing to launch a new downtown parking system, giving drivers two weeks to learn the rules before enforcement begins.
All new three-and four-hour parking signs are now fully installed throughout the downtown core as of Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The city’s two-week grace period also began March 4, during which no tickets will be issued. Parking officers will begin enforcement on Monday, March 19, through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
