Police make arrest related to fatal car crash near Ann Morrison Park

A Boise man has been arrested and charged with felony vehicular manslaughter for his alleged role in a fatal crash last year.

Jeffrey Cope, 54, was arrested Thursday by Boise police following an investigation into a crash that killed 66-year-old Boise resident Mitchell Edwards and a dog in April 2025, Boise police said in a news release.

Police say “Cope was driving his truck at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a passenger car turning left from Americana Boulevard into Ann Morrison Park.”…
