Valley County Sheriff’s Office arrests man in child exploitation case

MELBA, Idaho — A 41-year-old Melba man is facing new charges following an investigation into the possession of child sexual exploitation material, the Valley County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) announced Tuesday.

VCSO detectives launched an investigation after receiving a report of an individual accessing child sexual exploitation material (CSEM) online in Donnelly. The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Thoren Spearow, a registered sex offender in Idaho with 2016 convictions for lewd conduct with a minor under 16 and sexual exploitation of a child.

Detectives coordinated with the Idaho Department of Correction Parole and Probation unit, Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, and the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force to locate and contact Spearow near Melba, according to the sheriff’s office…
