NAMPA Idaho (CBS2) — A Nampa mother who faces charges related to her newborn son’s death waived her right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning and was bound over to Canyon County District Court.
Allysen Armenta is charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor after Nampa Police found her 11- day-old son, Benjamin aka ‘Benji’, dead on December 16, 2025:

- Children-Injury To Child (F)
- Evidence-Destruction, Alteration or Concealment(F)
- Arrests & Seizures-Resisting or Obstructing Officers(M)
Her arraignment was scheduled for the afternoon of March 31. The court ruled her competent to continue with the case earlier this year after a mental health evaluation.
