Parents of Gabby Petito coming to Boise for event supporting domestic violence survivors

BOISE, Idaho — The parents of Gabby Petito have turned their heartbreaking loss into awareness, prevention and hope for communities across the country, and at the end of april they are coming to Boise.

Petito, a travel vlogger, was 22 years old when she disappeared during a cross-country road trip with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, in 2021. Her remains were later found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming, and Laundrie admitted to ending Petito’s life in a letter he left behind before taking his own life. A coroner ruled Petito’s death a homicide, caused by strangulation and blunt-force trauma.
