NAMPA, Idaho — Idaho Transportation Department will close West Locust Lane at 12th Avenue starting Thursday through April 1 to allow crews to install a culvert and underground piping, ahead of signal construction at State Highway 45 and Locust Lane.
The full closure replaces a previously planned flagging operation. ITD said shutting the road completely is necessary to finish the work before the April irrigation season begins. Installing the irrigation ditch infrastructure now will keep the project on schedule; otherwise, construction would be delayed until next year, according to officials.
Some nighttime flagging may take place this week ahead of the full closure…
