Dump truck hits signal pole, tears down lights, closes southbound Eagle Road at Highway 44

EAGLE, Idaho (CBS2) — On March 16, 2026, at 12:55 p.m., Ada County Sheriff’s Office and Eagle Police deputies were dispatched to a crash in the area of Eagle Road and Highway 44 in Eagle after a dump truck struck a traffic signal, tearing the lights from the pole.

Southbound Eagle Road at Highway 44 is closed while crews work to repair the damaged signal. The Ada County Highway District is on scene, and the closure is expected to last approximately six hours. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.

No injuries were reported.
