Record highs shatter across Idaho, Oregon; Boise hits new all-time March mark at 83 degree

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A surge of early spring heat shattered temperature records across parts of Idaho and eastern Oregon Friday, with several cities setting new all-time March highs.

Boise reached 83 degrees, breaking the previous record of 74 set in 1877. Baker City hit 81, topping the prior record of 74 set in 2024. Ontario climbed to 80, surpassing the old mark of 74 from 1988. Twin Falls reached 80, breaking the previous record of 74 set in 2015. Burns rose to 80, eclipsing the former record of 71 from 1947. Mountain Home Air Force Base recorded 83, beating the prior record of 79 set in 1997. Jerome reached 79, topping the previous record of 77 from 1997. McCall hit 69, breaking the earlier record of 63 set in 1928…
