STAR, Idaho — The teenager who died following a reported drowning at Freedom Park in Star earlier this week has been identified by the Ada County Coroner’s Office.
The coroner on Friday said 14-year-old Jeffrey Shepp of Nampa died after an accidental drowning on Wednesday, March 18. He was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene after lifesaving efforts by first responders were unsuccessful.
