Starting April 1, the Boise Front segment of the Boise River Wildlife Management Area will reopen to the public. Idaho Fish and Game lifted the seasonal closure about two weeks early after a mild winter and warm weather reduced the need for extended protection of wintering deer and elk.
Some restrictions remain in place: roads and the archery range stay closed to motorized use through April 30, and dogs must be leashed until that date. The Cornell Segment north of Mayfield Road will stay closed to all entry until April 14…
