BOISE, Idaho — The pilot accused of flying drunk and crashing his plane near the Boise Airport late last year has pleaded guilty, according to court records.
Michael Verzwyvelt, 61, was arrested on a flying under the influence charge in January in connection to the Nov. 2025 crash. According to police, Verzwyvelt showed signs of intoxication following the crash.
A newly released National Transportation and Safety Board report backs that up. The final report, released March 13, concludes the crash was caused by the “pilot’s operation of the airplane while intoxicated.”…
