Nampa police say driver fled traffic stop after K-9 alerted on vehicle leaving drug house

NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — A traffic stop in Nampa escalated into a police pursuit and a crash on a sidewalk outside an Albertsons on April 1, ending with the arrest of a 55-year-old Meridian man on multiple charges.

At 2:39 p.m., officers with the Nampa Police Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop near 1st Street N and 2nd Street N on a vehicle with a suspended registration that had left a known drug house. Police said the driver gave false information during the stop.
