Boise man recounts escape from active shooter at Mexican pyramids

A Boise man who was visiting Mexico with friends said a trip meant for travel and relaxation turned into a fight for survival.

Greg Magadini said he had recently quit his job and was traveling in Mexico when the shooting began Monday at the Teotihuacán pyramids outside Mexico City.

“It’s like shock and fear and disbelief,” Magadini said. “I can’t believe this is actually happening right now. And then insane fear, because the stakes are life and death, essentially.”…
