NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — A man convicted of killing an innocent bystander during a gang-related shooting at a Nampa restaurant will spend decades in prison before he can seek parole.
Third Judicial District Judge Gabriel McCarthy sentenced Brian Moreno to prison for the 2022 murder of Joe Flores. Under the terms of McCarthy’s sentence, Moreno will serve 30 years before becoming eligible for parole.
Earlier this year, a Canyon County jury found Moreno guilty of first-degree murder with a gang enhancement. Flores was shot and killed by Moreno during a gang-related shooting at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Nampa.
