A New England Windstorm Took Down Trees, Power Lines, and A Few Unlucky Cars

Strong winds and cold, rainy weather swept through parts of Massachusetts on May 30, leaving behind fallen trees, power outages, and damaging several properties. One resident went outside to discover that a large tree had crashed down onto a family member’s truck.

In Lynn, Massachusetts, locals woke up to a rough reminder of just how strong the overnight winds were. On Goldwhwait Street, Kebin Argueta discovered the truck, which belonged to his aunt, and it had been parked for less than an hour before the tree came down.

“The power went off, and I looked outside, and the tree landed right on the truck.” While the timing is unfortunate, it may have prevented something far worse had anyone been nearby when the tree actually fell…
