We’ve become accustomed to Jared Freid bringing some cold, hard truths to our ears and faces when it comes to the ins, outs, and in-betweens of relationships. Now, to celebrate his latest creative venture, he’s bringing it again — but in the form of a whole book this time.
Making his ways to the laidback confines of the Armory in Somerville on Tuesday (June 9), the Needham native is putting his usual stand-up approach aside for a night as he unleashes Walking Red Flag: Dating Advice From Your Favorite Guy Friend, his first literary venture, on the home turf masses. While there’s sure to be a healthy dose of comedic banter to coincide with a project that delivers Freid’s telltale no-holds-barred perspectives on dating, sex, and how to best answer awkward late-night texts, the fresh lens through which we’re seeing Freid deliver his comically-charged judgments is exciting to say the least.
Hell, even if you don’t need any dating or life advice from a man who has made it part of his life’s mission to let people know whether they should stay or scram, Freid offers up an entertaining night nonetheless, so get with it…
