A Thursday evening call on Herman Street escalated into a front-lawn brawl that sent four Winthrop police officers to the hospital, according to town officials. Officers responding to a reported dispute found two men fighting on a front lawn and met resistance when they tried to make an arrest. Medics evaluated multiple officers after they came into contact with the suspect’s blood, and one officer will have additional follow-up as a precaution.
According to Boston 25 News, officers were dispatched to Herman Street for reports of a disturbance and arrived to find two men fighting outside a residence.
