Midday gunfire turned a Dorchester block into a homicide scene Wednesday, when a man was shot and killed near York Street, according to Boston police. Officers and Boston Emergency Medical Services raced to the area after a report of a person shot and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives quickly took over as officers taped off the block and began knocking on doors and talking with witnesses. Investigators also recovered ballistic evidence in the area of Glenway Street while multiple cruisers and detectives were seen on foot in the neighborhood, WCVB reported…
