More than 500 new rental apartments could be on their way to five Boston neighborhoods, after the Boston Planning & Development Agency board was asked to authorize a wave of residential projects stretching from East Boston to Roslindale.
The July 16 BPDA board agenda included authorization requests for 531 proposed rental units across Allston, East Boston, Jamaica Plain, Mission Hill, and Roslindale—plus a 16-unit homeownership project and two single-unit affordability items in Brighton and Mission Hill.
Altogether, the agenda listed 77 Inclusionary Zoning units, 11 Inclusionary Development Policy units, and 5 housing voucher units tied to these projects—93 income-restricted units in total, spread across developments of every size.
