(NewsNation) — Massachusetts Rep. Francisco Paulino was indicted for alleged pandemic benefit fraud, FBI Boston announced Wednesday.
A separate incident, which was also unsealed Wednesday, charged Lawrence Mayor Brian DePeña with COVID-19 relief fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Leah Foley.
Foley will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Boston federal courthouse, in conjunction with the FBI and the IRS, to announce the indictments against Paulino and DePeña.
