Union Oyster House, a landmark Downtown Boston restaurant in operation for 200 years, will be sold to a Houston family behind hundreds of other dining and entertainment businesses across the country.
The buyer, the Fertitta family, called the restaurant a “treasured dining institution” in a statement through a spokesperson. They pledged to “continue to run Union Oyster House just as it has been operated for more than 200 years, with no changes to its staff or operations,” and said they “(looked) forward to carrying its storied traditions forward for generations to come.”
