BOSTON, MA — The Boston Police Department is launching a pilot program that will deploy drones as first responders to 911 calls and ShotSpotter activations.
The program, which begins this weekend, will use Federal Aviation Administration certified pilots who are members of the police department to operate drones from launch sites across the city.
