Suspect, victim, identified in fatal Massachusetts pedestrian crash

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Chief of Police Lester Baker have confirmed that a Massachusetts man was arraigned Tuesday in connection with allegations that he struck and killed a pedestrian in Framingham.

Monday night at approximately 10:30 p.m., 44-year-old Ronei DeOliveira of Framingham was allegedly operating his pickup truck on Hollis Street when he allegedly struck the victim, identified as 62-year-old Philip Bligh of Framingham.

Following the crash, DeOliveira allegedly fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital where he later died…
