A woman followed a group of juveniles into the Taco Bell at 276 Harvard Street in Brookline, reached into her bag and appeared to pull out a large kitchen knife, according to Brookline Police. Surveillance footage from inside the restaurant shows the juveniles trying to put distance between themselves and the woman, crowding behind a table before she left the store and walked south on Harvard Street toward Coolidge Corner.
The incident happened inside the restaurant at 276 Harvard Street in Brookline, which Taco Bell’s own listings identify as one of the chain’s active Massachusetts locations. As reported by WCVB, police say the woman is described as an older Black woman wearing an orange or brown patterned dress and carrying a tan-cream colored bag, and that she walks with a distinctive limp. Investigators say she showed the large kitchen knife to the group of juveniles, though the outlet’s reporting does not specify whether any interaction took place before she followed them inside.
Police Want to Talk, Not Necessarily Arrest
Notably, Brookline Police are not seeking the woman’s arrest at this time — officials say they would simply like to ask her a few questions, per the same WCVB report. Detectives have asked anyone who recognizes the woman matching that description to contact them, and the department has made a public appeal for the community’s help identifying her.

A Busy Corridor Already Under Scrutiny
Harvard Street has drawn police attention before.
