A slow-moving storm system will bring a prolonged stretch of rain to Massachusetts through Sunday night and into early Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain will spread from west to east throughout the day, with most areas seeing wet conditions by early afternoon. The Cape and Islands could see showers linger into Monday afternoon.
Rain is already pushing into Western Massachusetts and will continue spreading eastward through the morning and into the afternoon. Communities like Pittsfield can expect rain to be underway by mid-morning, while Springfield and Worcester should see showers arrive in the late morning.
