A man died by suicide during a wellbeing check Monday in the parking lot of a Stop & Shop grocery store in Swampscott, Massachusetts, officials said.
Swampscott police initially said there was no danger to the public over what took place in the parking lot on Paradise Road in the morning, which remained actively under investigation on Monday afternoon.
The Essex County District Attorney’s Office shared more details, saying the person who died was a 59-year-old man who’d previously lived in Swampscott and more recently lived in Florida. His name wasn’t released…
