Northeastern Tatte fails health inspection, investigators report possible mouse droppings

A Sept. 24 health inspection of the on-campus Tatte Bakery and Cafe revealed possible mouse droppings, among other violations, according to public inspection records.

The inspection found what appears to be “mice droppings in [the] corner next to [the] shelving in the expo area,” and instructed Tatte to “clean and sanitize all affected areas,” and provide an updated pest control report that is dated after the day of inspection. A re-inspection is required within 30 days. The store’s manager could not be reached, and Northeastern did not respond to a request for comment.

The cafe previously failed a health inspection May 4 for a variety of violations, including “heavy soils on ceiling tiles,” “wiping cloths not properly stored” and improper glove usage, according to its health inspection records. It passed its reinspection weeks later with only minor violations, granting it an “A” letter grade…
