A Lowell man was sentenced in federal court in Boston to 66 months in prison for selling fentanyl and crack cocaine in the city during a series of controlled buys last year.
Gino Hem, 34, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard G. Stearns to five and a half years in prison and four years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty in June to one count of distribution of, and possession with intent to distribute, 28 grams or more of cocaine base; one count of possession with intent to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base; and three counts of distribution of, and possession with intent to distribute, controlled substances, including fentanyl.
