Boston Gang Member Pleads Guilty to RICO Conspiracy, Drug Trafficking, and Firearms Charges

BOSTON – In a significant legal development, Paulo Santos, known as “Bucky,” a 35-year-old Boston resident, pleaded guilty yesterday for his involvement in the violent gang, Cameron Street, which operates primarily in the Dorchester area of Boston.

U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young set the sentencing for Santos on April 24, 2024. Santos pleaded guilty to charges including conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise (RICO conspiracy), possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Court documents reveal that Cameron Street gang employs violence and threats to maintain and expand its territory within Dorchester. The gang members are known to use firearms for various criminal activities, including assaulting rivals and safeguarding narcotics operations.

Santos’ criminal actions include the assault and robbery of a rival gang member outside the Dorchester District Court on December 6, 2019. A subsequent video on Snapchat showed Santos inciting another Cameron Street member to attack the victim, identified as a member of the Wendover gang.
